The Freije Company does more than just design and install refrigeration equipment. We also offer refrigeration training.
Process Safety Management (PSM) Refrigeration Training
Training Requirements:
Initial training requires each employee involved in the operating process be trained in an overview of the process and the specific operating procedures. Emphasis must include safety and health hazards, emergency operations and safe work practices.
Refresher training must be provided at least every three years to each employee involved in operating a process.
The refresher training must ensure that the employee understands the process and adheres to the current operating procedures.
Whenever a change occurs (modification or addition to the system) the written operating procedures must be brought up to date and the operating personnel must be trained in the procedures prior to being allowed to operate the changed or modified process.
You must then document that each employee involved in the process has both received and understood the training. This record must include the identity of the employee, the dates of the training and the means used to verify that the employee understood the training.
When 1910.119 was implemented, employers could certify in writing that employees involved in operating a process on or before May 25, 1992, had the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely carry out all their duties and responsibilities.
