Freije Engineered Solutions Company and Refrigeration Systems Company Complete Merger

Companies join to deliver industry-leading services to support industrial, commercial mission critical facilities
March 18, 2013 – Freije Engineered Solutions Company and Refrigeration Systems Company (RSC) announced today that the two firms have merged. Combined, these companies employ nearly 200 workers who specialize in industrial refrigeration, mechanical and electrical engineering, service, and installation solutions for mission critical facilities.

Freije, a nationally recognized specialty engineering, service and installation services firm, has been serving mission critical facilities, including the pharmaceutical, food distribution, food processing, health care and data services market sectors, for more than 50 years. The company works in partnership with its clients to support their facilities with a host of critical services that support system quality, performance and reliability. These services include industrial and commercial refrigeration and mechanical, plumbing and electrical services.
RSC, founded in 1961, provides customized refrigeration engineering, preventive maintenance and repair as well as design/build services for industrial clients in the food distribution and food processing industries.
The nationally recognized RSC is a founding member of the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR), an industry organization comprised of the world’s largest food processors and refrigerated warehouse operators, breweries, chemical companies and pharmaceutical companies. The company is active in IIAR and helps set industry standards for the safe, reliable and efficient use of ammonia and other natural refrigerants for industrial applications.

Freije and RSC will keep offices and employees in their current locations. Freije is headquartered in Fishers, Ind., and has an office in Louisville, Ky. RSC is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, with offices in Cincinnati and Cleveland.
The combined companies will operate as affiliated companies of Freije/RSC Company and each will retain their current corporate structures.
